Law school admission seminars and law school application consulting
“People don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan.”
Our “Law School Admission Seminars” are designed to help you plan effectively. Broadly speaking effective planning means considering:
- Where to apply to law school (including the possibility of joint law degrees); and
- How to develop the component parts of your law school application .
- Understand effective LSAT preparation.
- Introduce you to Pre-LSAT Prep
As important as your LSAT score is, it is one part of your law school application file. A very weak LSAT score could keep you from being accepted to law school. A high LSAT score will not ensure your acceptance to law school. More will be required.
Our “Law School Admission Seminars” will assist you with all of the components of your law school application. These include: law school personal statements, law school letters of reference, law school autobiographical sketch, etc.
In addition, we will teach you to understand the opportunities to study law that are best for you.
John Richardson conducts a large number of LSAT and law admissions seminars each year. He offers both public sessions and private law school admission advising, consulting and mentoring.
Public Sessions:
1. Law school information sessions conducted on behalf of university career centres and pre-law societies or other student groups. These seminars are normally free to students at that particular school.
2. Law school personal statement and law school application seminars organized by John Richardson. For the most part these are for the benefit of students in our LSAT courses and are restricted to them.
3. Pre-Law Forum – This is an annual or semi-annual event. It is open to the general public and includes a large number of guest speakers.
Private – Law School Admission Consulting, Advising and Mentoring
The goal is to help you get into the law school of your choice.
A custom program will be designed for you. Here are examples of the kinds of people we have worked with:
- Pre-law students - at the point that they are going through the law school application process.
- University and college students - who wish to start with a year or two before they actually apply to law school. Some students start with us when they start university.
- High school students - who want to learn more about law schools, applying to law school and opportunities to study law
- Second career applicants – who have have typically been away from the academic world for a some years.
- Canadians who have attended law school outside of Canada – who need help you navigate the NCA (National Committee on Accreditation) process.
- Immigrants to Canada – who either have a law degree from outside Canada and/or are lawyers outside of Canada.
